JOB TITLE: Accounting Manager

Job Summary
We are looking for an accounting manager to support, track and evaluate day-to-day activities for
multiple entities within the organization. Accounting Manager responsibilities include supporting
the accounting group and preparing periodic financial statements as well as generating various
reporting for distribution to department heads and managers.

Responsibilities
• Preparation of consolidated monthly/quarterly financial statements
• Manage month-end closing process including preparation of journal entries and monitoring closing activities of other groups
• Review and prepare account reconciliations
• Prepare and develop monthly cost center reports for Department Heads
• Calculate and prepare intercompany invoices related to cooling and growing operations
• Posting of weekly payroll entries
• Create and distribute labor reports
• Review and monitor G/L coding by accounting group
• Assist with Fixed Asset accounting
• Calculate monthly customer rebate amounts
• Participate in preparation of workpapers for external auditors and respond to requests from auditors
• Maintain various setup parameters within ERP system
• Reconciliation of credit card expense activity
• Evaluate and prepare assessment fees and reports to various agencies
• Work with teams to prepare annual financial budget
• Calculation and monitoring of bank covenant compliance
• Prepare and file Use Tax returns
• Support preparation of property tax returns
• Complete quarterly analysis of fuel costs
• Compile Ag Dept Census reports
• Primary contact for annual workers comp audit
• Various ad-hoc projects and reporting

Experience & Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 4 to 5-plus years’ experience as Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or Accounting Supervisor (portion of which within the Ag industry)
• Advanced computer skills with MS Office, accounting software and databases
• Experience in accounting for intercompany transactions/activities

Salary Range: $90,000.00 – $125,000.00, Based on Experience
